Why Appian
Enterprise chose Appian for a number of reasons. Appian Enterprise's ease-of-use, particularly the web-based process modeler, would make it simple for business users and administrators to interact with and change processes along with their business. The Appian Rules engine provides a repository for all of Enterprise's many standards, methodologies, and constants. In addition, Appian is the only BPM suite vendor with a fully internationalized product which can be used all over the world.
Implementation Plan
Enterprise Rent-A-Car is using Appian Enterprise to build out an IT Request Services system. The majority of design and implementation is performed by their own personnel. To that end, they have dedicated BPMS teams and business analysts who work together to drive the design and implementation of their business processes. Initially, Enterprise is using a like-for-like modeling approach mirroring the way service requests are handled today. With in-house BPM know-how, Enterprise is positioned to expand its use of Appian to help improve additional internal operations.
